I’m loving the fall in the garden and the colours in hazelnut hedge. Can’t wait for this to be full size.

Started to harvest the green tomato’s today and planted garlic. Fertilizing all the garden beds as I winter ready them with worm castings and Gaia green all purpose.

Sometimes I wonder if I am hiding in the garden out of sadness & fear of how the world has been descending into the fascism that my Grandfather was so scared would return. Or if I finding peace and joy during this time to hold onto.

The only time she ever goes outside is to be groomed. It’s obviously very stressful.

Oka Melon. My first time growing these. Their very flavourful and have a strong aroma. We will grow more of these next year. Unfortunately the drought didn’t help with the harvest. I had to pick this one early since the squirrels selected it for a nibble.

First day of my vacation. My urban apples are looking amazing, native plant garden is having its weekly drink and I’m hoping everything establishes by next year so I don’t have to keep up this level of watering. Basically everything in my garden is 3yrs or younger and very thirsty.

Morning coffee in the garden while I move the hose around. Although I focus on native plants in my non raised garden beds it’s been a really hard year for keeping everything alive. So many young trees and shrubs have been suffering in the drought.

She’s my first shedding pet. The amount of fur is insane. Gave her a little brushing and trimmed her nails.
