A new study has found that plant-based diets could help to prevent and reverse a specific type of heart disease in hypertension patients. The study found that plant foods “both prevented the development of CMD and reversed established CMD.” In particular, emphasizing whole plant-based foods such as vegetables, legumes, fruit, and nuts may have a notable impact on risk reduction and symptom reversal.
