I have so many dreams that I wanted to fulfill and plans to create new stories for you. There are a few in progress that might come to fruition in a few years if things work out. I did not ever imagine I would live to this age and end up a writer, editor, activist, and more. As a kid riddled with insecurity and internalized ableism, I could not see a path forward. It was thanks to friendships and some great teachers who believed in me that I was able to fight my way out of miserable situations into a place where I finally felt comfortable in my skin. We need more stories about us and our culture. You all, we all, deserve the everything and more in such a hostile, ableist environment. Our wisdom is incisive and unflinching. I'm honored to be your ancestor and believe disabled oracles like us will light the way to the future. Don't let the bastards grind you down. I love you all.

AK25102342 Location: ANCHOR POINT Type: THEFT 4th Degree Dispatch Text: On 10/08/25 at approximately 0915 hours, an employee of Three Bears in Ninilchik contacted AST to report shoplifting. The suspect left the scene before AST arrival, but the victim provided Troopers with footage of the theft from when the suspect first entered the store to when they drove away. Troopers knew the suspect in the footage to be Jessy James Ackerman (36 YOA) of Anchor Point. Ackerman was interviewed on 10/27/25 and he admitted to leaving the store without paying for the $3.80 breakfast burrito. protecting. Will It protect our expression of our faith as we celebrate the holy matrimony of same-sex couples? Will it protect the Catholic bishops who were urged by Pope Francis to reject any "ideological criterion that distorts social life and imposes the will of the strongest as the criterion of truth" and to continue working "closely with migrants and refugees, proclaiming Jesus Christ" and "promoting fundamental human rights"? Will it protect churches that support a woman's right to choose, or a trans person's right to become the person that God knows they are? Or instead, will it storm our places of worship as we stand up and proudly proclaim in the name of Jesus that for ALL people, including the undocumented, we are a House of Refuge.

Rev. Matthew Schultz with the First Presbyterian Church of Anchorage said the majority of Christians today believe in the full inclusion of the LGBTQ community. "We also are fully against discrimination and bills such as Proposition 1, are enforced segregation, there's no reason for bills like this to go forward other than to discriminate and segregate," Schultz said. "It's harmful to people who are transgender and will only serve to increase their ostracization from society."

By AlaskaWatchman.com Rev. Matt Schultz, the extremely active left-wing activist/clergyman who pastors the ultra-liberal First Presbyterian Church in Anchorage, is running for the U.S. House. Schultz formally declared his bid to unseat incumbent Rep. Nick Begich in an Oct. 20 announcement, saying he wants to focus on "on lowering costs, protecting health care, and keeping Alaska's future here." While Schultz's announcement frames him as a "longtime faith leader, husband, and dad," he is also one of the most active leftwing activists in Alaska, and has been for years. He pastors a church that ordains transgender clergy, and he is active in supporting No Kings protests, the Black Lives Matter movement, pro-abortion Planned Parenthood panels, and the expansion of special rights for Alaskans who claim to be LGBTQ.
