when my sibling was little they'd go "ooh, my manees" to imitate adults complaining about joint pain. so now any time our backs hurt we all go ooh my manees. it's so integrated into our vocabulary i have to occasionally remind myself a "manee" is not a genuine body part

i live every day like that "guy thats only played x: getting a lot of x vibes from this" but it just adjusts to whatever thing i was just interested in. for like a year after i played shadowbringers every single story had shadowbringers vibes to it. they did not in fact have any similarities

the first time i ever felt pure terror was when i saw the "mascot" our towns firefighters had. it was a rudimentary "animatronic" that was a child sized dalmatian in a firefighter hat+coat almost assuredly slapped on top of a remote control car. it could only move forward and backward slowly

playing maplestory again. this game is so ridiculous. my skills hit from anywhere between 10 to 64 times per second, each hit does roughly 1 billion damage, my gear score is listed as "26 million" and all these numbers are considered "early-to-midgame". & all the while my character looks like this

years ago i saw a post where someone said their mom told them they use dryer sheets because theyre "not a white family" and it has stuck with me to this day. i dont think its a prominent stereotype that white people dont use dryer sheets but every time we're out of dryer sheets im like oh god.

i hate thursday. its the only day that you cant abbreviate well. look at its companions: mon, tue, wed, not to mention fri sat and sun. shortening it to "thu" destroys its essence. it doesnt convey the weight of thursday in the slightest. just ridiculous. its bothered me since i was a child
