Interesting and food-for-doomers article.

It certainly appears that humans may not make it for the 10,000 years you project for the end our species. (I enjoyed your book).

Do you still see the similarities to 1943?

The President will, almost undoubtedly, cause more misery to humans and all life forms on earth than any person in history.

It appears that he and hedgehog like killing. I wonder if those that like raping, especially young girls, get off on killing.

Thank you for posting this talk. I, too, can't classify myself as one type of doomer. I'm all 4 types, with an understanding that the dominant religions in the western world must also change.

I hope you're wrong Harry. But I've read many of your books and know that you understand historical trends.

One of the best things about e-assist bikes is that they enable older cyclists to continue cycling.

Thank you.
I've now enjoyed three of the books you recommended. Next up, Echo.

Do you have any estimate of the metabolic need of fat? I'm trying to calculate the energy needs of overweight dogs, and the best estimate I have found is that fat has 25% of the energy needs of muscle per kg.
60% of US dogs are fat.

Thank you.
I plan to read The Happiness of Dogs for my next book.

You don't expect civilization to collapse before the early 22nd century? It may take 10,000 years for humans to go extinct, but advanced societies will likely collapse within a few decades.

Thank you for our posts.
It's going to get more difficult for humans to bury their heads in the sand, because the water will cover the sands.

I had no idea until I was about 55, I'd never heard of it. But once I started working with a person who heard of autism, she pointed it out to me and I knew, that was me. I worked hard and paid taxes my entire adult life

So am I, and I've contributed to society and paid taxes since I was 16, for 60 years

This Guardian article on End Times Fascism may help explain why "we" are doing virtually nothing to try to prevent global warming. Scary.

Does the prevalence of micro and nano-plastics in our bodies and all organisms dramatically accelerate the decline and fall of the human empire? My guess -- and I don't have your wisdom -- is yes.
