I went to the No Kings Rally in Prairie du Chien, WI. I'd guess 175 took part. Great small town turnout & overwhelmingly positive responses from passersby. #nokings

A fawn came to visit while Ellis and I were enjoying our gin and tonics in our cabin.
The heavy rains flattened my surprise lilies (Lycoris squamigera). I cut them and added a few daylily leaves. Now, despite the storms, I will enjoy them for a few days.

The former Methodist church in McGregor, IA, closed several years ago. A non-profit was formed and took ownership; today, the building is a much-needed community center. As a bonus, a historic building is being preserved.
