In my opinion Joli is one of the very best speakers on the nodes I have come across. The nodes are an area that can leave the best astrology students a little baffled, but Joli cuts through the confusion and brings these vital points of growth to life in a blear, vibrant, and memorable way. In the West the lunar nodes are often seen as esoteric and difficult to access in terms of the natal chart. Through an examination of the lunar nodes through the signs, we can start to see the overarching themes that inform our "mission" in this world and serve as vital point for where we must tend to balance in our lives. Joli Knott is a consulting astrologer, Reiki Master, Sacred Depths Coach, and teacher. Born to Indian immigrant parents in the US, Joli's awareness of astrology began from a young age, but it wasn't until her time in Japan that her interest in the subject took off. She has lived in Japan for 20 years in total and in the UK since 2013. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Japanese and Economics from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. and has a Master's Degree in Modern East Asian History from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London. As a result, Joli's eclectic, somatic, and mythopoetic approach to astrology situates the individual in the wider context of history, economy, culture, and ecology. She is a keen follower of international politics, and a lover of languages--the latter because she loves to talk!

I'll be delivering the 3rd talk in my Lunar Nodes series next Friday, Nov 14th, to the Bedford Astrology Club.

I'm working on the slides right now and here's a taster of how things are shaping up:

☀️Mutual Aid Offering☀️

As I mentioned a few weeks back on the podcast, I would like to offer 3 (shorter than my usual) 60-minute astrology sessions in exchange for mutual aid to a member of the astro community. 1/3
A disabled community member needs our help! I'm offering 3x 60 minute sessions for $130 as a mutual aid offering. The proceeds from this shorter session will go directly toward their healthcare costs. The session can be a natal chart reading, a session on the 12th Parts, on the Fortune houses in your chart, or on the Lunar Nodes. If you have sat with me before, I could do a limited look-ahead forecaast, but it will mainly cover profections and transits, as opposed to the in-depth look I normally do using medieval Islamicate techniques. Wow. King Charles has stripped his brother, Andrew, of ALL of his titles. And kicked him out of his home, the Royal Lodge, for good measure. Tr Mars conjunct the natal Moon in the 4H certainly speaks to much of this 'destruction' of security and creature comforts signified by the Moon.

So interesting!

Fwiw, from an astrological point of view, the Reformation occurred when Jupiter-Saturn conjunctions were happening in Water.

And the Renaissance pretty much began in Water as well, although there were 2 Jup-Sat conjunctions that took place in Air in 1325 and 1345.

I think the end of this month will be big as Mercury enters the Sibley 1H and Mars squares the Sibley Moon. (I also see tr Venus trining the Sibley chart's Mars.)

Furthermore, a quick look at the transits to the Sibley USA chart is fascinating. Tr Jupiter on natal Mercury Rx is the blurting out or airing of thoughts that are supposedly 'protective' (Cancer) of the state (but actually protective of elite wealth/8H)...
