Is this not purely for domestic politics? It doesn't seem like Macron is against the trade deal but LR had threatened a censure of the government (it is groundhog day...) if the government voted in favour at the Council

Hi! I'm really sorry for taking so long 😅 I didn't have the file at hand and I had to hunt for it a bit on old drives but I just uploaded the full night in here, hopefully it's still useful drive.google.com/file/d/1zwwW...

I'm from northern Spain and I've heard tons of stories from my hometown about how relatives were tortured by fascists in the civil war, a venue was used as a concentration camp, how people would run up to the mountains while starving to escape execution, it's not exactly something to glorify

Ragnow by far the biggest loss in the end it looks like

But what's going to trigger that civil war? I could believe it if Israel was isolated internationally similar to apartheid-era South Africa, but the western world currently is more than happy to treat Israel like a normal partner even when committing a genocide, there's no resistance from their pov

Going for it on 4th down so often is huge in this regard I'm sure, MCDC the only coach where you legitimately cannot guess what he's going to do, it has to be a nightmare for other teams

super fun that the Lions addressed the secondary very extensively over the off-season to end up in the same spot as last season

I don't personally agree with this but many politicians apparently do, in 2019 Macron wanted to block North Macedonia's accession indefinitely citing that reform is necessary (while not doing any work towards that whatsoever); maybe this mentality will go away but no one's helping to do that so far

And then a lot of people have the impression that the EU is so dysfunctional b/c of unanimity (ignoring that it's rarely applied, and that when it is there are ways around it within the constitutional system of the EU), and that a treaty reform must occur before any new member states

In part of course this is a self-inflicted problem by the Juncker/vdL1 Commissions for freezing accession in all but name (no other explanation for a Fidesz mole being the previous enlargement commissioner), but still

There's also the problem that Ukraine didn't come first to the EU accession line - at a minimum, in the Balkans 🇦🇱🇲🇪🇲🇰 all have already done most of the work to join the EU, they have very strong grounds to become the next member states, and that doesn't seem to be happening any time soon either
