About fifty years ago, I went away to college at 17. For a variety of reasons, I partied way more than I studied. But... I didn't get that out of my system until I was about 23. Waiting six months until I was 18 would have changed absolutely nothing

The economy will need to go past a recession into a full blown depression. It’s an actual cult - Dear Leader can’t fail, he can only be failed- at least until failure is entirely unmistakable. Just a recession won’t be enough.
