It is Luwian sometimes referred to as hettitic, Middle East probably late second Millenium BC. the script you see beneath the statue is Luwian. I recognized it directly, Hettites fascinates me. It is ok to illustrate a poem from on civilacation with another, why not.

It stands gracefully, triumphant. One of the most impressive statues i ever saw. And i love -mostly ancient- statues.

Smartphones were never smart ergonomically. Like modern cars where you have to adjust the heating on a screen, so looking at the screen is required while driving. Not smart.

I just saw the movie Bob Trevino Likes It. I liked it. There was a scene where a narcissistic dad showed her daughter how much money she costed... to use as an argument to ask his daughter for money. Bah...

Maybe you are a bit offended by the Greenland statement -if so, understandably i would say-. The statement just puts responsibility where it should be. The rest of the world knows a majority of Americans are more nuanced but expressing that will not help on a government level.

While El Andalus is a word with Semitic origins, it goes back to the name of the German tribe the Vandals. But it is very much ok, in a way i am always looking out for the (intended) imperfections in your maps, that is why they are great.
