Ironically, this post reads like oh never mind.
Sometimes people get BAs in physics and go on to be crackpots saying they "solved quantum mechanics" or something. But to conclude from this that in general a BA in physics doesn't help people grapple with physics problems in a responsible way would be . . . hasty.
