Well they(surely) aren’t anymore. I believe that was a lot to do with the 3 loans of rashford, assencio, & disasi which we gambled on to try and get into the champions league. But with them gone and a number of others too. At the end of day if you don’t buy and spend wages you will go backwards

Also if you want to keep players you have to pay wages. We’ve surely cut out wage bill considerably from last season with all the departures but are now left with a smaller squad.
