My point is mostly that they have the money to survive if J Wales wants them to, as where the internet archive does not have that, and is arguably at least equally important. I also just personally despise what fandom has done to game/fan wikis, which weren't as cancerous in the before times.

Jimmy Wales is the president of fandom and a chairman of wikimedia. When he gets Fandom to get rid of the cancerous ads I'll donate to Wikipedia again. otherwise they can use that fucking ad money instead of mine after destroying every game/fan wiki and making them atrocious to navigate.

I'll donate to wikipedia again when J Wales gets fandom to remove all the super obnoxious autoplay videos from their wikis. For now that money goes to the internet archive. Until then he can use the money he gets from that to fund wikipedia.

Or in 2006 a bill was passed that was intended to gut the USPS. If you remove the insane healthcare pre-funding requirement from that the USPS would turn a profit, or at the very worst be slightly in the red in a bad year.
