Fate can be a completely unpredictable science sometimes, and to be fair, after the interference of PGMOL & injuries last season we are due some good fortune

I guess when you’re involved in the professional analysis of a club week in week out AND a fan the mood must become more focussed than being able to appreciate the general direction of travel. I get some of the anxiety, not winning clean, but the hysteria on the socials by some fans is exhausting.

Good shout Nathan

That’s a ridiculously negative take on it Phil! Look at the fixture list since November - absolutely relentless. Any Prem club can put in a shift at home on any given day. We’ve played better, sure, but where the objectivity, where’s the positives??

Fair play & thank you Utd. Where did that come from…. No wait, back to chaos next week please

There were no VAR decisions in the FA Cup at the weekend and guess what, the games ran absolutely fine… and no goals disallowed…who’d have thought…

Is that even allowed?

He definitely has some odd rough edges but there’s a raw talent in Noni that when it comes together is a joy to watch. Hopefully Mikel’s team will polish him up a bit

Martinelli needed that today after the noise of Thursday, great to see Kai back & Ethan plying with maturity & confidence but most pleasing of all? Hearing ‘Gary Neville is a w*nker’ loud & clear!

Double posting today Phil?

Hope youve wrapped up warm & dry!

What is it about Liverpool that makes us go into our shells. We play an unnatural passive game against them - don’t get it at all

In the last two seasons we have seen a shift to officials allowing all sorts of grappling & contact. Saka will automatically get two defenders on him every game intent on hauling him to the ground or kicking him (& it’s working). Does Arteta change his game, role or position to protect him?

I am absolutely ecstatic that we turned that round - for the officiating allowing the WWE tackling (again) Jarred Gillet’s best efforts to affect the outcome and the hateful Newcastle fans. Now we move

Unfortunately questions can’t be asked about this as there’s now a trial pending (probably in two years time given the court backlog)
July 4, 2025 at 4:03 PM
In the UK suspects cannot legally be named directly or indirectly before charge which has only just happened. In the US trial by public opinion is the norm but not here.
July 4, 2025 at 4:01 PM
Absolutely. Suspects are not allowed to be named directly or indirectly until after they have been charged - it’s the law. The club were put in a really difficult position by the lengthy process. That said Arsenal really need to make a statement now
July 4, 2025 at 3:57 PM
Definitely
July 4, 2025 at 3:54 PM
& if the case was dropped or whatever that would be a legitimate position & statement. What else could he say? It looks bad, but the clubs hands were really tied until the Met got their act together.
July 4, 2025 at 3:39 PM
But do what? If you suspend a player (or anyone in the public eye) who is under investigation you immediately ‘out’ them to the media pile-on & prejudice the ongoing proceedings. If you don’t do anything you’re seen as complicit. The decision to charge would only just be known by the club
