Simple. They got goalied in the second and third, and then reffed with that late, absurd call on Seider. They were the better team tonight and they didn’t quit. Unfortunately, I think their playoff run ended tonight but they battled.

Of course, we both fan as we want. They gave Yzerman no reason to be a buyer again this year. I have a good deal of hope for next year though. 5 kids in this year’s lineup, more coming next year plus lots of cap space.

Walman cost Edmonton a first, and there’s no way Yzerman would want him back after moving on from him last summer. Dumoulin is a 33-year old rental who went for a second and a prospect. Cozens was interesting but Detroit didn’t have a Josh Norris to make the deal.

That much seems fairly certain, especially if his move to Florida was amicable.
