There’s been a lot of handwringing about Elon Musk and his disastrous tenure at the misnamed “Department of Government Efficiency,” which was neither a department nor efficient. Cutting functions that you haven’t learned about do is not efficient. Losing employee trust will be a long term problem.

It’s TAX DAY. I’m opposed to extending Trump’s so-called tax cuts, which resulted in tax increases for my family. I guess it’s only tax cuts if you gear them to the very wealthy. Further, no Republican sponsored tax cuts have ever resulted in lower deficits, they only push more debt onto the future.

Why haven’t people been discussing that the DOGE is a misnomer? They haven’t increased efficiency, they’ve cut government functions and programs, probably illegally. And why aren’t Musk’s conflicts being discussed or Trump’s illegal use of the WH to promote TESLA?

When are we expected to have a “brain drain?” If I were a young, promising scientist, I’d be looking elsewhere.

Why isn’t anyone pointing out the massive conflicts-of-interest that Elon has? Shouldn’t he have to divest or put in a trust his holdings if he is going to dismantle the government as we know it?

Was Vance (and company) booed at the Kennedy Center because of their politics or because of their bad manners in having the concert start late because they couldn’t be bothered to arrive on time? Certainly rude to the musicians and the rest of the audience. Would you have booed them?

If I were Canadian, the last thing I would want would be for my country to be taken over by Trump. Taxes are lower and it might benefit billionaires, but no one else. And we can’t take care of our own people. They have a healthcare system, we don’t.

Why isn’t Elon being dinged for conflicts of interest? He’s got a boatful. I guess someone buying the Presidency for Trump isn’t subject to the same scrutiny as ordinary Federal Employees.

Interesting that I now cringe whenever I see a TESLA, avoid buying products through Amazon. I’m avoiding Google, searches (thank you Duck, Duck, Go) and I’m spending less time on META apps, except perhaps to respond. Time to boycott. The tech bros are aiding those who are taking away our rights.

I am HORRIFIED by the ignorance of some of my fellow Americans. The are getting misinformation from the WH (or should I say Big Brother Musk) and taking it as factual without any scrutiny. It’s going to be a hellhole by the time they are done.
