COYS.
Frank has been very clear about prioritising defensive solidity in his first couple of months. It’s the area of the pitch you can make an immediate difference. And it has worked. It’s a much more sustainable base than the crazy ten games we flourished under Ange. He’s building a serious team.

Think there’s a typo: ‘Jones didn't look completely sold on the decision when at the screen, but he still went with the decision so cannot be admonished.’ He surely can - and should - be admonished for not rejecting the VAR suggestion.

Eze shambles got people more irate, but MGW was the bigger miss. Would have absolutely smashed it in this team.

“we all captured images and videos just fine for 17 iPhone generations with that hardware button” - should that be “without”?

Seems like he got a bit of an easy ride. Do you sense he realises he’s hanging on by a thread and that today’s result moved a lot of people into the ‘Ange out’ column?

We’ll look back on this like the Brighton game for Poch. Ange might not get sacked this week but it’s now only a matter of time. That was the first game that really felt like the end of days.

Forster could definitely have saved the first last night. He dives without taking the step needed first to get nearer the ball and to give him the power needed in the dive. His footwork is consistently atrocious. He’s decent at reflex saves near him when he doesn’t have to move his feet.

Always been an issue trying to follow a WC team - far too few games and an inconsistent calendar. Often go weeks without a game so it never becomes a reliable habit. Same, to a lesser extent, with WSL, including far too big a break over the summer.
