You have misread his post. He specifically claims that his sentence would have been longer if he had been an immigrant. Read it again.

Judges use detailed sentencing guidelines. It is really stupid of you to suggest that the guidelines vary by race. You're just doing the same as Farage with his "two-tier justice" rubbish.

I don't know, I don't watch it; it's unwatchable TV for me. I am trying to get some reliable information, eg an independent review or report, but you don't know about one and are just relying on your own perceptions.
November 15, 2025 at 6:12 PM
Great. What is the report?
November 15, 2025 at 5:27 PM
So no
November 15, 2025 at 5:13 PM
That suggests there is some independent research that you might be citing?
November 15, 2025 at 5:09 PM
Yeah. I feel the Guardian report is missing some important information, like how long it took for this to be tipped and what was done in the days or weeks while it was going on.
November 15, 2025 at 4:40 PM
Surely this must have taken weeks, or at least days, to tip? Could nobody stop it during that time?

There were surely ONLY MEPs available for UKIP/Brexit Party? Did they have any MPs? The pro-EU point of view was surely represented by the other panellists from other parties, more likely to be MPs than MEPs.

Is this an answer? What does the BBC say?

Is the reason:

- QT had a policy of reflecting how people in that area had voted
- So it often wanted a UKIP/BP politician
- There were no UKIP/BP MPs so their representative was an MEP
- There were other politicians - often MPs rather than MEPs - from the other parties balancing their views

The original post didn't mention campaigning to expel people, which is why I didn't mention it in my reply.

It may be the right thing to do to allow her return but you are delusional if you think that being white would make the press actively campaign for the return of a former supporter of ISIS. Did they campaign to support Jack "Jihadi Jack" Letts? No. Of course not.

...some profit as a dividend, they have received no personal benefit or income.

When they do withdraw money as a dividend, they pay dividend tax on their withdrawal.

So your "only 25%" is just wrong. It would be better though for you to stop confusing corporate and personal taxes in your posts.
November 14, 2025 at 10:43 AM
That's not true.

As usual, you are confusing personal and corporation taxes so let's do what you do and talk about both of them simultaneously.

If a person owns a company, the company pays 25% tax on profits.

At this point, the person has paid no personal tax - because until they withdraw...

I am very skeptical of the WASPI case but I am not sure about your logic here. Harm would also come to any person who had not been informed and who retired at their normal retirement age, surely?
November 14, 2025 at 8:58 AM
Stupid idea. Replacing a PM 18 months after a landslide victory is a great way of telling voters we are as dysfunctional and disloyal as the late, unlamented Conservative Party that they kicked out of office.
November 13, 2025 at 1:20 PM
Are you talking about taxes on people or corporations?
November 13, 2025 at 10:30 AM
You are confusing personal taxes and corporate taxes.

Rules for MPs are that you cannot claim for daily travel. Does a nurse get to claim daily mileage? No. Does a road worker? No. Does a teacher? No.

Why does the Mayor? Especially with an £86k salary.

Pay back your travel expenses, Andrea! It’s the right thing to do.

Another number I read recently was that since the GE, the government has laid over 800 Statutory Instruments before parliament. That is 800 times a Secretary of State has used their power under primary legislation to make a change or improvement. 800 things made better.
