I make quizzes about books for students in 2nd - 12th grade to prepare for the Battle of the Books and other academic competitions, book clubs, literature circles, and classroom activities.

At the dentist's office on my ipad, a boy and girl with their mom talking with the receptionist. The girl came over and asked if I had art apps. Her brother drew this dragon. The moral of this story: you can take a teacher out of a classroom, but the kids are gonna find her in the dentist's office!

Any day I expect them to start teaching kids to point and laugh at kids who are different from them. :-(

I’m excited about giving one of the books that was mine and my sister’s when we were little to my niece at her baby shower. It’s pretty worn, but so are we 😁 I love the thought of sending a book on its way through our family’s future history.

It's Mexican-style corn on the cob (chili powder, parmesan cheese, etc.), also called 'elote' and it has a stick through the bottom of it so you can hold it like a popsicle. It's sold from carts on the street corners. It is SABROSO!!

How the Battle of the Books Quiz Center Began - I was a 5th grade teacher, coaching kids for the Oregon Battle of the Books. I made quizzes to help them study. I thought, I bet people would buy these. I posted, but then got busy teaching and forgot about it. Then I got an email: This is a SCAM!
