It may also be an interesting idea to do a layer cake with a thinner bit being soaked in a light amount of cayenne. Personally, I love a mix of savory/ spicy and sweet.

Depending on the base, hot chicken is a paste or sauce of primarily lard and cayenne with complimentary seasonings. If you are going for a dessert bake, I'd go thinner with cream over chocolate.
