Yeah, we were getting close to $10,000 water heater installs when all the local rebate programs overlapped. A large local contractor told me they hired 6 people to do just rebates.

I didn’t realize there were mega-sized standalone heat pump dryers. This would allow the pipelining of laundry — one load in the washer, and one in the dryer.
It’s 220V, but as a heat pump it should use a lot less power, and thus be a useful tool for electrifying houses with 100 amp panels.
