The wind that wouldn't stop!! It will eventually, but not slow down until later tomorrow and tomorrow night. Dress warmly and keep both hands on the steering wheel while on the highways. Feels-like about 10-15 all day. #NBCCT

Good morning and Happy New Year! A StormTracker Weather Alert for gusty, damaging winds today. This afternoon we expect a few gusts to top 50 mph. The airmass is chilly, but nothing really unusual as far as January weather goes. The feels like temps will be quite cold tomorrow AM. #NBCCT

Good morning! I'm going to post here on BlueSky more often to see what kind of traction it creates. Today is crazy mild for this time of year...increasing sun this afternoon and highs 52-57. It turns MUCH colder as we head into the weekend with lows in the single digits!! #NBCCT

*Blue Skies* are widespread this morning, but clouds will increase and precipitation will break out this evening...Not a lot of accumulation for most, but as usual we will see several inches in the higher terrain of northern CT. School delays for some, not all tomorrow AM. #NBCCT

Updated drought monitor expands the severe drought more than 70% across Connecticut. Todays rain will help but the rain deficit is huge for this fall and we will need plenty more to get back to normal. A thick snow pack wouldn't hurt either. #NBCCT
