90 years ago today, Babe Ruth played in his final Opening Day. Ruth singled and homered off Carl Hubbell as the Braves triumphed over the Giants, 4-2. You can read about that whole season in my book.

A banquet is given in Boston in for Babe Ruth coming to the Braves. One of my favorite images of the evening was the Babe tearing up when he saw thousands who turned out to see him at Back Bay Station. Later, they signed the contract.
