I loved AITF at the tine but can’t help but think the show’s failure was that it made reactionary bigots cute and loveable and, therefore, acceptable.

Didn’t work for Calley but a sympathetic president commuted his sentence to a slap on the wrist. I am certain our military would shoot first and get pardoned later.

I am always impressed by your continued optimism despite senate Democrats’ fecklessness and cowardice. Like Republican “moderates,” the only constant in American politics is the certainty of Democrats caving.

Obviously no laws are self enforcing so if the guy in charge is immune from prosecution for violating the laws he refuses to enforce then the only benefit to the shutdown is showing his lawlessness. Sadly Americans demonstrated in 2024 they don’t care about lawlessness

Her unspoken truth is that they haven’t fully resolved cases because they understand one day a Democrat may again become president so they maintain the option of ruling against them..
