TBH I'm surprised Trump's rating isn't higher in this poll. But I'm flat out astonished Putin's rating is so low. Putin is the reason for most of the other bad actors listed, including Trump.

Because the media are corrupt too.

The only think that likes him is the brain worms.

The immediate details may be different, but the underlying cause is always the same:

Rich people get addicted to wealth and start getting ever more greedy, sucking all the wealth out of the economy until it implodes, then they blame the peasants for not working hard enough.

blaming a black man might make you feel better, but if you look almost all of the shysters in power for the entirety of the First Republic have been wealthy white and male. Go figure.

Definitely reflects the inner b*tch.

yep, it's official. Animals have more humanity than the US government.

Maybe he could organise an open-air concert in Kherson.

The Canadians are very friendly until you cross them.

Put it this way, most of the articles in the Geneva Convention were inspired in the aftermath of things Canadians did to people who crossed them.

I think it is NATO that needs Ukraine to lead them to creating and maintaining the peace.

Funny isn't it how he is suddenly all in favour of a war when he sees an opportunity to steal someone else's valour.

There are bad apples in every barrel. And positions of power attract bad actors. But the barrel only goes bad if those supervising the barrel fail in their vigilance.

I'm sorry to have to say this, but an abundance of caution is one of the reasons we are where we are.

From your reply I see it is not only the police that need education. Where I live the main concern of the police is public safety and keeping the peace. They do not need guns except in rare extreme circumstances.

It goes without saying I do not live in America.
June 14, 2025 at 5:11 PM
Maybe where you live. In most advanced nations the police perform a public service. But that requires education and training, and also a public perception of them as public servants.

I accept those criteria do not currently exist in America, but that does not mean they can't.
June 14, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Actually I have, admittedly many years ago. I always found them courteous and friendly. Maybe they were just being Canucks, eh?
June 14, 2025 at 4:42 PM
Your reply demonstrates a lack of understanding of a police force's function. Only totalitarian states use the police to routinely control the population through violence.

And no, their purpose is not to bite, but to apprehend wrongdoers and TO KEEP THE PEACE.

In France demonstrations are more kinetic and require a higher level of force to contain them.

The main issue here is the culture and context. E.g., In UK the police are strongly rooted in public service and policing by consent of the people. Because of this, they largely do not need arms.
