The trick with oils is to work "from lean to fat " .Start with turps thinned paint and gradually use more oily paint on succeeding layers just like the old masters . This is a good painting you`ve created so keep going. Cheers.

Very unique idea this although not too useful for a knight in armour ! Excellent technique , difficult to fire in the kiln I would think.

Just saw a meteor tonight ! and I live next a huge wetland nature reserve in Southport NW England full of geese . Spooky or what ! !
