We should use other nouns besides “the right” for the religious and cultural fanatics, not just in Israel, but elsewhere, including the U.S.

A question I wonder about: Suppose you could be sure that all of your policy preferences would be honored enthusiastically by an absolute ruler, but you’d have to compromise or worse, have to lose some policy fights utterly in a democracy. Would you choose the dictator?
