I had visions of doing that, too.
Lots of people hire plows to do their driveways around here, and then spend all spring putting their yards back together.
With a snowblower, a person can stay on the driveway and throw the snow over the banks instead of pushing the snow as far as possible

I thought about getting a tractor, and using it to move neighbors' snow for money. But, I couldn't trust the weather enough to make the tractor pay for itself, so I got snowblowers and worked for free.
I was right about the weather, I would have taken a beating the first year for sure.
