@delphiglobal.bsky.social fellow Batu Kutelia and Kathleen Collins make a compelling argument for seeing Russia with clear eyes. This means ending the impulse to reset relations with the Kremlin, and returning to the Reagan era doctrine of peace through strength.

Collins, Kutelia: Get Russia right. End the ‘resets’ and win the peace
“Only by getting Russia right can Trump end the bloodshed in Ukraine. That means recognizing who Putin is, adopting a policy of peace through strength, and consistently enforcing it.”

If you thought the first Trump-Zelensky Oval Office meeting was bonkers wait until you see this one. Actually just watch the last ten seconds. Spoiler alert: it has nothing to do with Ukraine or Zelensky.

In @warontherocks.bsky.social , I argue that if NATO continues to defend its airspace from behind its borders, Russia will likely kill people in a NATO member, putting the alliance on the horns of a dilemma. Instead, NATO should assist 🇺🇦 in defending its airspace.

Just saw somebody refer to the multiple fires at Russian oil facilities as “Budanov sanctions” and I’m still laughing. If the West can’t get its act together to damage Russia’s war economy, it’s good to see Ukraine doing so.
September 20, 2025 at 8:49 PM
There is an epidemic of cowardice in America today. Universities, think tanks, newspapers, TV networks, corporations and others choosing to silence themselves are sacrificing our democracy for their own safety. In the end they still won’t be safe. Truth to power has never been more important.

(1/3) NATO’s response to Russia’s violation of Polish airspace with multiple drones should be more than stern words. NATO should declare a no-fly zone over western Ukraine, with NATO assets deployed on the ground in Ukraine to enforce it.

Since the Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska, Russia has bombed an American-owned factory in western Ukraine, and last night it bombed the EU Mission and British Council buildings in Kyiv. This is how much respect Putin has for the US and Europe.
