Me back on my bullshit of rolling, cutting, baking, and making royal icing

If I ever get invited to a Halloween party, this is my costume. If I ever get stopped for a “person on the street” interview, I’ll roll out my inner Carrick accent. My son wants to find him because he doesn’t believe he is real. Barry Pingor is Pittsburgh’s superhero

I want to know more about that awful hotel wallpaper. Does it say “live, laugh, love?”

It was probably a mistake to read a book about food sculpture www.upress.umn.edu/978145293873...

This year’s theme will commemorate another favorite Pittsburgh building. It will be revealed when the display opens next week

Last year, I rendered a great moment in the history of Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood when we all met Pitt Spider-Man. The Pitt News knows how to write a headline pittnews.com/article/1098...

I know that buying a new part will cause the machine to die so did this instead

I carved a washing machine latch out of wood for my 27 year old machine rather than buy a new one for $20. It tells the washer that the lid is closed and it’s ok to run a spin cycle. It’s not perfect so we put a heavy can on the lid to make sure it activates. My family has learned to live with me

Somebody had to have told him that they’ll just replace the words on the card to make him look like an even bigger dipshit

I like what’s here, including library roles and the digital public infrastructure framing. Have been thinking lately about how local governments could incentivize open source as a solution, and encourage participation of staff and others in these communities. Pretty sure I’ll have other thoughts
