Today I came back to Bluesky after about a week because of an ongoing mental health funk. I’m glad I did. Even if I’m just reading posts here, and not really interacting, I feel buoyed by the content I find here.

Here I am, sitting in a dentist’s office in Mt. Pleasant Iowa waiting as my mother in law has her teeth checked. (Mt. Pleasant is about an hour’s drive from our house in Nauvoo Illinois).

Right now I’m sitting in the lobby of a drug counseling center while my niece and her husband are in group therapy. As they don’t have a working car I volunteer to drive them. I’m very proud of them for all the work they’re putting into staying clean.

Today I was able to drive my next door neighbor to work and then pick him up and drive him home. At least it got me out of the house.

I was able to spend Thanksgiving in Utah visiting family. This is me with my dad, my son, and my grandson.
