I contributed a few data points from back in 1978! Fun to see those old data put to use. Coincidentally, we banded several Black-throated Blue Warblers today!

Not much of a view but still good to visit Moosilauke summit again. Bicknell’s Thrush always worth a hike.

Just back from 50th reunion at Groton School. The Schoolroom hasn’t changed over the decades: my name is inscribed on one of the wall plaques along with those of all fellow alumni including FDR.

Highlight for me of South Brevard CBC was chance to see almost 60 Florida Scrub-Jays (nearly all color-banded) in the Saint Sebastian River Preserve State Park ... by far the most I've seen away from the Lake Wales Ridge. Encouraging for conservation of what should be Florida's endemic state bird!

Early Nov, after a couple of hard freezes … and I’m _still_ picking deer ticks off my legs here at Hawk Mountain

Hawk Mountain chickadee (captured and banded with appropriate permits). Ancestry? Probably a BCCH X CACH hybrid, but we’ll rely on SNPs to be sure

Trying for hybrid chickadees, but sometimes bycatch birbs are just too cute like this RCKI
