Me too. I remember when the Ukraine extortion thing happened. Trump literally threatened Zelensky to "encourage" him to start a bogus investigation into his expected election rival Joe Biden.

I thought for sure, his pants are down... he can't survive that. NOPE.

And his supporters love exactly that making him almost king like and even more dangerous. Two impeachments and they still vote him back in. He's the hillbilly hero. We're living through a tyranny of simpletons.

The Presidency is far more powerful than people realize.

And the bounds of Presidential action are entirely based on good faith, commitment to public service and fear of public shame for over stepping those bounds and/or breaking the oath of office.

Trump is an entirely new animal historically.

I hope the pompous ballroom is later repurposed for something like a visitor center for the public of some kind.
