Always great to see a crowd at the #Annenberg Beach house. It was a ruin for so long. Grateful to Mrs Annenberg & the late Len Aube who saw the site’s potential and paid for its creation as a public beach club.

Steve Jobs birthday today! He made @red so much smarter. The photos & videos of the “Lazarus” effect of #HIV medicines inspired him & led to that vision. Many people understood the authentic, life saving capacity of ARVs through the pics. Always grateful to him for his generous excellence. @apple

My brilliant college classmate & lifelong friend Marie Colvin died 13 years ago today. Murdered while telling the horrible stories of the Syrian war, her beautiful life & incredible stories remain a blessing for her many friends. Journalism dangerous & necessary then. As now.
