Are the airlines and other travel companies ready for this change? Do they not accept passengers who don't pick male or female if it's a US company? Do they have to get referred for secondary screening immediately if they don't pick an "approved" gender?

What happens to those who identify as undisclosed (U) or non-binary (X)? What happens at the border if someone refuses to select that they are male or female? What if their passport says U or X?
