I remember watching her on CNN and thinking she would end up in the same heap of outsized egos as Lemon and Cuomo. I didn’t have Kennedy on my bingo card, tho. Geeesh!

This is what big bowls of popcorn are for.

Both sides know that no one is actually going to really release all the embarrassing info. So, whoever is out of power can use it to snipe at those in power.

There’s finally some cracks showing in the MAGA world and the response of the liberal intellectuals is to argue over the word, “fascist.” It’s basically an obsolete term. Future historians will call this crap Trumpism or MAGAism.

My guess is that the embarrassment will be shared. The game is the people not in power attack those who are on knowing it’ll never come out.

It’s great that they won these elections. But, socialism may have won in NYC, but it wouldn’t have flown in GA. They don’t have a national plank that will work all over (except for beating Trump.)

This shutdown is working to traditional conservatives advantage because it’s forcing the states to act on their own behalfs. Federalism!

You see the same thing with health issues such as vaccines. The problems have faded out of our memories and will now be revisited.

4 or 5 years ago, we went through the same disbelief with Melania. It’s the old power corrupts thing.

US carriers have used steam for catapults since forever. They’ve been trying to replace these with a magnetic drive and that’s had teething problems. I can’t stand the guy but he’s just saying stick with known technology.

Assuming this is a problem, isn’t the US DHS headed by (oh my!) a women?

What is sadder? - progressives who’d spend their time making vocabulary points (when they could be contributing to an appropriate charity) OR a TV talking head who gets off on toying with them. (When he could be asking them to do something constructive.)

I’d go with World Central Kitchen

I really think we need to stop dismissing Trump as insane, ignorant or dumb. He may be all of those things but, it’s a winning combo for him and his MAGAts.

Soon, “Hakeem” will be used as a synonym for “ineffectual.”

We meant well, but in the end, we were Hakeem.

Good point. I’d add that disagreeing is not censorship. It’s a common tactic with the red hats to claim you’re violating their rights when you expressly disagreement.

They can do the awards ceremony along with the Rudy Giuliani award. Maybe they can set a stage up at a landscaping company.
September 11, 2025 at 3:02 PM
We need to stop confusing actually being dumb and playing dumb for the crowd. Witness Fulbright Scholar Sen. Kennedy of La.
September 7, 2025 at 1:48 PM
I hope that your post satisfied your needs somehow. But, you just gave the MAGAts the high minded revulsion they were hoping for. Please don’t feed the MAGAts!

Unions aren’t speaking out on their own behalf and the fossil Democrat leadership is, ummm, fossilized.

Now see, if an R wanted to criticize Third Way, it would have been obvious who the were attacking. And, they would have used a lot fewer words to do it.
August 31, 2025 at 1:57 PM
The D’s communications skills stink. The Rs very successfully exploit this. This thread by @editorialboard.bsky.social isn’t entirely wrong but, it stinks of blaming the other side for D’s weakness.

We need to talk about how to do better and vocabulary is part of it.
August 31, 2025 at 1:41 PM
Rs very successfully made trans issues part of the 2024 D platform although it may not have been D intention. All they had to do was keep saying nasty things about trans and the Ds jumped around like puppies.

Yes. In other words, the ads are aimed at the women.

In the South, black churches have always had a big hand in organizing voter registration and turnout. You might talk to party leaders in Southern states.

Dems in general need to expand their idea of organizing. Instead of complaining about ID requirements, help folks get the IDs.

We have to guess that the wedding vows will include news of a new album.
