It doesn't matter if there were drugs on that boat, it is still murder. Drug running is not a capital crime in the USA, you are supposed to capture, search and arrest.

The only 'force' that could deter America is sanctions. Sanctioning America would devastate the sanctioning countries economy, as America can remove their access to advanced microchip lithography.

They can't be. There needs to be a rule that if a president is convicted of a criminal offence, his right to pardon is void.

The problem for Russia is further east are the Ural mountains and the Taiga. The land is totally inhospitable and there are only a few rail lines through it. The logistics are a nightmare.
