Hitler tried that too... opening up another front. How did that work out?

Kind of how Trump would think too, I imagine.

Reported? If you can read the reg, I would. The first two were well over the white line, as a comparison. My patch is Hampshire/Thames Valley. There's no consistency in reporting. Hampshire not good, TVP very good.

Military robots tend to be four legged load carriers – if they have legs at all. I guess a lot of roboteers think familiarity is a good thing but some 'humanoid' robots look bloody scary to me.

Naked gun???

Presumably it wouldn't include the American version of Christianity. There are also a lot of Jews in the US and I have a vague hunch that all started in the ME too :)

Russians calling the EU 'warmongers'... Oh, the hypocrisy.

That's fine. Some of the deadlines Trump gave Putin were ignored on both sides.

It was late afternoon in the UK. I was 11. Mum was doing some housework in the same room. The TV was on, (black and white) and the programme cut to the turning globe of the BBC, and it was announced. Mum burst into tears. It shook people in all corners of the globe.

Trump and his minions are the only ones that think this plan a good idea. Oh, and Putin of course... he's the one who wrote it.

Like Putin, he'll try and change things so he's in forever.

Before 2014 Putin posed no threat the Ukraine. Stick your head in the sand for long enough and sooner or later, you'll end up being shafted.

I gave up then looked at the code... the answer was there.

I'm offended every time his smug mug appears on social media, but freedom of speech and all that.

It depends on how you view your 'environment'. Personally I would prefer to see the enclosed area as it is... divided into several paddocks rather than an area of solar panels or biofuel crops. We already have two nearby solar farms, plenty of timber woodland/heathland and, of course, new housing.

Had a dairy farm near us – supplied milk to the local community. Then the new supermarkets undercut them and forced them out of business. So they got rid of the cows and converted the farm for horses. Seems to be doing well and at least the fields are not under bricks and mortar, like many others.

Spent some time in the 70s in the Army. Sent to Lurgan twice but managed a day in the Mourne Mountains. Loved it. Me behind, almost 50 years ago.

It's a vicious circle with income tax. We may need more taxes, but businesses are busy reducing workforces to a bare minimum. Popped in to a shop yesterday. Big chain, fairly busy shop. One staff, overwhelmed. Then a coffee. Same. One staff on duty making coffees and trying to find time to clear.

Knee jerk, yes. I should have worded my original comment much better. As to pensioners costing. That's down to mis-management and erosion by successive govt's. It's a sore point with my wife. She was due to retire at 60, then they moved the goal. She sees it as 7 years' pension stolen by the govt.
