It's nice that Showcase were willing to tone it down so that it *could* be syndicated on Sci-Fi etc.

Was it SyFy that brought in DeLuise to take over as showrunner when SyFy started producing the series in... what?... season 5?

For the record:
I'm a huge fan of the show, and I probably prefer what we got.
It just always seemed to be a weird pivot from the pilot, and I'm curious as to what that creative process was like.
The other version of the show would be interesting, though. 😆

I think that I'm probably going through a rough mixed state episode brought on by an anxiety-fuelled existential crisis brought on by an extremely emotionally draining week.
