This is exactly what I was thinking about today. SCOTUS has essentially abdicated upholding justice with regard to POTUS to the ICC.

Meanwhile the Trump administration quietly changed the USPS postmark process. We now need to get mail-in ballots mailed at least a week before the election office reception deadline.
USPS updated its postmark rules. Here's what that means for your mail
Users shared concern about what the changes could mean for voting by mail during elections.

My point is his attempt to demonstrate vindictive prosecution is a power of the president actually had the exact opposite effect. At least it did to those who are not listening to the conservative spin, which I can only assume is declaring a liberal conspiracy to protect their own.

Jim Comey, Leticia James, and now Abrego Garcia. Trump is inadvertently demonstrating that there is no such thing as vindictive prosecution in the US, unwittingly undermining his own fairy tale of his victimhood.

Which Botched episode is this?

The AG is addressed Mister/Madam Attorney General, not “General”. Also Kash Patel was previously on board with the FBI insider “theory” of the J6 pipe bombs, so he should not be employed as the FBI Director in this country.

True, however it is not as if the Democrat Party has ever supported Medicare for All either. In fact, they torpedoed the candidacy of the only supporter with a chance to win a presidential election. Twice.

Exactly, it’s a low altitude flyover superimposed with a ISS EVA image.

If it were illegal to state that it is illegal to follow illegal orders then there would be no law. This is merely the set up for malicious prosecution meant to harass the Trumpublicans’ enemies and punish them for threatening what they are depending on to win in 2026 and 2028.

Would fewer poor folks be hurt if this builds up into a dystopian war against the machines? If the ports and transport become automated, what good will striking do? What power will everyday people have left?
November 2, 2025 at 4:42 PM
Yes I agree, we are being managed, and we are also being trained to accept the unacceptable. Working day ima and day out to help billionaires achieve their goals is how we are complicit in that process and contributive to its eventual outcome. How else can we resist this evil than by striking?

humans are both indispensable and indomitable. To do that, we must sacrifice our security and throw off the shackles of employment, if only for long enough to achieve universal healthcare and basic income. Without those two things, we are embracing the whipping post.

ideals. George Washington embodied it, and generations have followed his path, but the path is now lost. America has lost itself, and must find it again. If the billionaires have their way the future will be automated and humans will be enslaved by their machines. Our task is to demonstrate that

Basic human nature and billionaire logic dictate that any advantage gained, whether individually or collectively, should be exploited to its fullest extent. That is what we are seeing play out, and it flies in the face of traditional American values, which dictate sacrifice and fairness are the

Strikes are effective in France for negotiating labor issues, not a cure-all for all of the world’s problems. Fascism is too large a problem to attack, it has to broken down into issues that can be negotiated. As individuals, we have to be realistic in our expectations, our speech, and our efforts.

In France, Saturday protesting is just a warmup for a workday strike. That is the lesson we have yet to learn.

comes in from China. The impact was so severe it took years to recover. Leaders would never let it rise to that level, they have to show their worth and maintain the illusion of control, and would cut a deal. Our problem would not be having our demands addressed, but choosing the right leaders.
November 2, 2025 at 2:50 PM
The wealthy and powerful are wealthy and powerful because they have convinced the world that they are in control. This illusion is the source of the power. During COVID we had a glimpse of the potential impact of a general strike when all the containers stacked up at the port of LA where everything

It’s not stopping the spending that has the impact, it is stopping the work. People in France put their country ahead of their jobs in a way we have never seen in America. If a general strike including key transportation and travel industries happened here, we would see change at lightning speed.

People in this country have been going hungry for decades without any uprising for that reason. In the US post Citizens United, only wealth has a voice. The economically misfortunate have no voice in the GOP, and only a half-hearted voice in the Democrat Party. Hence the shutdown.

I fear the violent tactics are undermining the rule of law, and conditioning all of us to accept the unacceptable. We are being trained. I fear what is next will be far worse. When Trump and the Republican collapse the economy, they will have plenty of recruits.

I know some also, and they are firmly entrenched in their various “news” outlets, and incapable of waging debate without resorting to logical fallacies.
