Been there. Asked to write a whole DLC for a game. Did that in 6 months; the game never got a Game Designer because they were too focused on bigger projects. I did also some design.
DLC never got released even if the writing was complete and needed just proof reading.

Hey, for what it's worth the piece you did for me was fantastic and I would never replace for some AI generative slop!
That said, don't be sorry for "not doing a ton of art". Art should be free expression of themselves and when you feel bad it's hard to pull out something from the hat!
