Thanks Dan. I've read a couple of books from Germany during the early/mid 1930s, and have the same impression. They had an early all-purpose enabling law, whereas we have SCOTUS. I do remember reading how some clergy wore swastikas on their robes on the Sunday after Hitler's election.
