First off, I would like to wish everyone a, very happy holidays. Now that Thanksgiving is over, Black Friday has come and gone, and Cyber Monday has ended which all means that Christmas is just around the corner. That means that it is time to finish up that Christmas shopping and of course grabbing those, last minute stocking stuffers. As a disclaimer I will tell you that the items I will be listing are small enough to place in a stocking that measures 18″ x 8″.

It is that time of year once again and it's time to get down with some Black Friday deals. It has been five years since I last posted a Black Friday article and I felt it was time to jump right back onto the old keyboard and do a little deal talkin'. Target Let's start off with Target. It is one of the largest retailers in the nation next to Walmart.

A few weeks ago, Wizards of the Coast announced timeline for the 2026 season of Magic: The Gathering. Within that timeline there was a "to be announced" placeholder for their next Universe Beyond set. At the recent NYCC (New York Comic Con) Wizards of the Coast finally released what that new Universe Beyond set would be. That new set will be based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

At this year's MagicCon Atlanta Wizards of the Coast announced the next timeline for their Magic: The Gathering line. The new timeline lays out the next seven sets for the 2026 season. Some of the sets are definitely going to be quite interesting. Wizards of the Coast The new 2026 season kicks-off with the release of Lorwyn: Eclipsed on January 23rd.

I found an interesting and unusual game demo that was recently posted to Steam. Let me introduce you to 'Shoe It All!" from Amberbite Games. In the demo the player takes the roll of a kid swinging on a swing. The challenge is to directly hit the obstacles that stand before the swinging kid. As you can tell from the demo that after each obstacle is taken care of the player will receive apple stickers for each bonus they complete.

It's another great Demo Day article. This one is a combination of two of my favorite things: cats and baseball. I have raised cats all of my life and I have enjoyed collecting baseball memorabilia, watching, and even playing baseball through the same period. Let me introduce you to Cats Baseball from Imagineer Co. Ltd. Cats Baseball is a story driven baseball game of sorts where a young cat decides that he is going to take on his world and become king.

Going through the new demos on Steam I picked another rougelike game that reminds me of Vampire Survivors. This is Einherjar's Ascent from Andrew Skillett. Andrew has another game available on Steam called Spunner. In Einherjar's Ascent demo the play er with control a Norse character who apparently died running from battle. At first the action begins rather quickly after being brought back to life.

I picked a really interesting new demo that dropped this morning on Steam. Let me introduce you to DryGin Studios' Extinction Day. This simulator allows the player to act as a virtual grim reaper to destroy the citizens of Earth. I completed the first two prologues of the demo. This demo has allowed me to get a good feel of how this game will run.

I found another awesome demo to download and try on Steam. Let me introduce you to Gladiato Potato from C2alt Game Studio. The demo dropped on July 9, 2025 (I had planned on playing it but for some reason it disappeared from Steam) and the full game dropped on July 10th, 2025. The title says it all. The player is a potato fighting in an arena gladiator style against other spuds.

I think I may have to explain myself on how I review these demo games. These are not solicited to me from anybody. I wake up in the morning log into my Steam account and see what new demo games or free-to-play games have been uploaded. Back in the day I played a lot of RTS games. The first one I ever played was called The Nations and then I followed that up with games like Command and Conquer.

I moved into my current residence about two years ago. It's a nice, gated community where I live on a fairly quiet dead-end street. Now I live in Florida, for the past ten years, and have learned a lot about gardening and landscaping here on the sun coast. I have discovered that most yards within so many miles of the coast are filled with sand.

I'm a huge anime fan and I have watched several of the Umamusume series. When I saw that Cygames had released a game based on the serious I had to -play it just to see what they did with it. A little rundown about Cygames. They have a bunch of anime themed games on Steam and on the Google Play and iOS.
