Congrats on your new filament addiction! :D

What are some things you're looking to print next?

Even with a smooth plate though, the nozzles being physical things with width are still going to be limited by sharp angles. So there's a limit as to how far we can push that.

That's a fair point. I might try something like a WhamBam in the future, all I have right now are the smooth patterned plates that will probably detract from the design.

But yes, like you mentioned I love the textured plate because it hides the lines and saves me hours of tuning the first layer.

I'm not satisfied with the quality of the center either, so I'll probably simplify that into a basic cross.

As much as I hate to go this route, I'll probably have to remove most of the curves and make the design more angular. And then replace the tiny arrows with circles because, well... they come out looking like circles anyways.

Here's a side-by-side of the current design, vs the actual tile (from tbgd.blog).

As you can see I've already eliminated the ridges in the design, the next 2 things that need fixing are the thin curves and sharp points.

Problem is, it's really hard to keep the same vibe while thickening the curves

And no, I refuse to pull out the 0.2 nozzle for something I can fix in the design 😂

Ooooo these are super cute! :D

I'm using the Bambu X1C with AMS for most of my printing, which lets me use up to 4 different colors in the same print

Widened the lines to make it look more like the official design -- what do you think?

I'm leaning slightly in favor of the thinner version because it looks more crisp

Thank you! It's definitely a fun challenge adapting the surface pattern to something that will print well
