Eckermann: Ich fand Goethe betrübt vor. Zelter wusste keinen Rat. Christiane schimpfte über die Ausgaben in Marienbad. Goethe wollte zum Telefon eilen, um Herrn Göbel anzurufen, worauf Schubart, der händeringend auf und ab ging, den Geheimrat daran erinnerte, das Telefon gäbe es noch nicht.

If you are in Berlin on 19th October please come and watch! This film about Hanna Miley’s Kindertransport journey won best documentary film at the Berlin Indie Festival. I am passing on Hanna’s invitation. Amy Williams and I were part of the film project and will be there to talk about it.

Fantastic news - the film about the life of Kindertransportee Hanna Miley to which Amy Williams and I (to a much lesser extent) contributed has won best documentary at the Berlin Indie Film Festival - after successes in Austin and Cannes. So pleased for Hanna and the fantastic film team!
