I know capitalism is a significant driver of this, but what are the actual forcing functions to unite the working class and create empathy on a large scale? Unions and other organizing efforts for sure, but these are being challenged every day and feel too slow…

—Or, if not explicitly undeserving of rights, not important enough to protect from systemic injustices that marginalized groups have been subjected to? How do you make people have empathy and care about others?
