Visited Port Sunlight yesterday - the original source of much of my academic funding from @leverhulme.ac.uk It was so impressive to see the workers' houses, hear about all the good stuff the Levers did and to visit the Lady Lever Art Gallery - on the day that Musk got $1 trillion....

Visited Lincoln Cathedral - beautiful - and saw a copy of the Magna Carta - makes one weep
Explanatory text above the Magna Carta copy in Lincoln Cathedral: "This was the first document to put into writing the principle that the king and how he governs was not above the law. It sought to prevent the king from exploiting his power, and placed limits of royal authority by establishing law as a power in itself."

Oh how lovely!! I love snails. When 3D printing started at the Uni of Nottingham, one of the people made me a golden snail! It's quite old now but I treasure it.

Same ambivalence here, but yes 1 (although 4 was the one that inspired me)
Senate House Passage in Cambridge. It has just rained and the sun shines through the Senate House on the right and projects its windows onto the wall of Gonville & Caius College. There is also a black outline of a cyclist in the distance.

Look who just showed up on the lawn!!??
A male and female green woodpecker on the lawn. "Male and female green woodpeckers are similar in appearance, but the male has a red streak (malar stripe) on the cheek, while the female has a black malar stripe. Both sexes have a red crown and black around the face." In this case the male seems to be the one on the right while the female lacks the black around the face and is just grey.
