Since it's #ChexMix time, here is the earliest newspaper reference i've found to a Chex mix, from the November 19, 1953 Salina Journal, Salina Kansas. The biggest difference vs. today's recipe: the vast quantity of butter and fat - yum!

After hearing them mentioned on #BrokenwoodMysteries, I baked some ANZAC biscuits (cookies) from a recipe at www.recipetineats.com/wprm_print/a... Yum! I can see why Mrs. Marlow brought them to her squeeze at the senior center.

A short time ago I dove in and removed a very bad cuckoo clock staining job I'd done. I've successfully refinished the clock in English Chestnut stain.
