GIRL WHAT US HAPPENING TO DALEIANA…
February 2, 2025 at 12:25 PM
I know you absolutely didn’t ask for this but I’ve been hyperfixated on this show for almost a year like i’m CRAZY and this was a great excuse to talk about it 😭😭 i’d like to know other people’s thoughts too

I would also like to add, that I do not think Tim would’ve left the gay club if he knew Gerry wasn’t looking after Dale. Tim sees Gerry talk with Dale, turns around and leaves the club. He doesn’t see Dale push Gerry away

It says something to us, as the audience, that Tim DIDN’T just leave Dale and say nothing, he understood Dale was in a bad state and told the person who was the closest with Dale to look after him. It is not Tim’s fault that this went wrong. It’s Gerry’s for his irresponsibility.

the mature thing to do; asking Gerry, Dale’s friend, to look after him.
January 27, 2025 at 11:45 AM
I see it a lot whenever this conversation arises, that people stick by TIM NEVER DID ANYTHING HE JUST LEFT HIM ..when he didn’t. He told Gerry to look after him, an acquaintance/coworker of Dale’s. Like I said earlier, they are no longer acquaintances. That is not his responsibility. It was +

life anymore.

I agree that it was cruel and in my first watch I was like ‘why’d he do that :/‘ but it was *needed.* Tim cannot keep following Dale around like a poodle while Dale kicks him away as a response. It was harsh but unfortunately, the only thing he could do as someone who doesn’t have a role in Dale’s +

responsibility as somebody who isn’t in Dale’s life to go out of his way and take care of Dale. If he did, that would be repeating the never ending loop of caring so deeply for someone who doesn’t prioritise you in the way you prioritise them.
January 27, 2025 at 11:45 AM
Whenever somebody doesn’t care about you, it’s absolutely exhausting giving them that care when it’s not reciprocated. And that situation is so awkward already, he’s not friends with Dale, nor coworkers or acquaintances. They’re just people who used to know each other, nothing more. It’s not his +

and it’s an absolute slap in the face when the person you love only wants something when you just happen to be there. Tim is always there for Dale. This and especially the fact that Dale was clear about a boundary because of Helen, yet you’re doing this? It’s confusing and hurtful.

Dale tries to initiate something with Tim, and is being flirtatious beforehand. This truly shows how uncaring Dale is towards Tim as a person. Even though he’s drunk, it tells Tim that Dale will only show affection to him when he’s not doing well. Tim’s care comes from his infatuation with Dale +

didn’t stop him from caring. Didn’t stop him from wanting to *talk* to Dale, wanting him to open up and talk about his feelings. That is so much care yet… Dale has never reciprocated that. Dale has never done anything for Tim. And I don’t think Tim realised until they went to the gay club.

has ANOTHER heart to heart with Dale at his place. What I find interesting is the fact that second heart to heart happened after Dale rejected him & made that terrible story about the woman who was HIV positive. It made Tim so upset that he came up to him and scolded him for it. Yet, all of that +
January 27, 2025 at 11:45 AM
Tim as a character surrounds Dale, a majority, if not all, of his scenes involve Dale. Tim is fundamentally an emotional support for Dale. He’s there for him whenever he does badly on the desk, has a heart to heart with him at the pool, helps him secure the live cross in Russell Street and +

I see a lot of people, understandably so, take the scene at face value. i’m not expecting people to rewatch the show over and over again, however this is something i am quite passionate about and my own opinion for this subject.
