Metro 2033 and Last Light are phenomenal narrative FPS’s that have an element of exploration during the levels to achieve better endings but still conform to the linear story. Metro Exodus gets a *little* more open-worldy, but is still technically pretty linear in its progression

David Eddings, author of the Belgariad, a somewhat popular but never-quite-mainstream coming-of-age fantasy series from the early 80’s, pled guilty with his wife of physical child abuse. Really fascinating the disconnect between the artistic/creative world and the real one
